It’s already a reality! Jorge Grundman has written his first saxophone quartet and it will be called Don’t you know yet? It is your light that lights the world. The title of the work refers to a phrase of the famous Muslim poet Jalaluddin Rumi «Don’t you know yet? It is your light that lights the world». The composer uses this phrase to develop the story he wants to tell with his music. This quartet has three movements and lasts approximately 20 minutes. In the music, the composer depicts the story of a young girl who suffers bullying at school and tries to overcome a difficult situation, as she feels sad, lonely and lost. Fortunately, this story ends in the best possible way, as the young girl manages to face this terrible situation and becomes happy. Jorge Grundman captures in each movement the evolution of the young girl’s state of mind, accompanying each moment of this story with his beautiful harmonies.
